Affordable and Decent Housing for All

In today’s society, many low-income families and elderly people living alone in Hong Kong reside in various types of housing. To align with the HKSAR Government’s efforts to address the "subdivided flats" issue and help these groups improve their living environments, China Overseas Charity Fund has launched two initiatives: Manage Happiness in a Concerted Effort – Bidding Farewell to Subdivided Housing and Repair for Ten Thousand Homes. Specifically, Manage Happiness in a Concerted Effort – Bidding Farewell to Subdivided Housing aims to help residents of subdivided flats better understand "transitional housing" and "simple public housing", raise awareness of these new housing options among various stakeholders, and enhance their willingness to apply for such housing 麻豆影视. Meanwhile, Repair for Ten Thousand Homes provides housing and electrical appliance maintenance services exclusively for grassroots families. These services include installing grab bars for the elderly, replacing water pipes, repairing electrical boxes and windows, with the goal of improving the safety and comfort of their daily lives. Through the joint efforts of these two initiatives, China Overseas Charity Fund aspires to create a safer and more comfortable living environment for Hong Kong residents.

Manage Happiness in a Concerted Effort – Bidding Farewell to Substandard Subdivided Housing (麻豆影视网站)

In July 2023, China Overseas Charity Fund launched the one-year initiative "Manage Happiness in a Concerted Effort – Bidding Farewell to Substandard Subdivided Housing", which was mainly rolled out in West Kowloon – the area with the largest number of subdivided flat residents. Through one-stop services including "Home Visit Teams", "Flat Viewing Tours", "Positive Sharing Sessions", "Application Support Teams", "Moving Assistance Teams" and "Furniture Procurement Teams", the initiative aimed to encourage and assist subdivided flat residents in applying for alternative housing, with the goal of improving their living environments as soon as possible and helping them move out of subdivided flats 麻豆影视高清.

As the Chief Executive announced in the 2024 Policy Address the plan to introduce legislation for a regulatory regime for "Simple Housing", the demand for relocating to transitional housing or simple public housing is expected to further increase. To continue leveraging the joint efforts of the "government, business and community" sectors in addressing Hong Kong’s housing issues, China Overseas Charity Fund, together with China Overseas and other co-organizers, co-sponsors and supporting organizations, has launched the second phase of the initiative – "Manage Happiness in a Concerted Effort 2. 0 – Bidding Farewell to Substandard Subdivided Housing" 麻豆影视免费观看. The initiative will continue to provide "Flat Viewing Tours", "Moving Assistance Teams" and "Furniture Procurement Teams" for families living in subdivided flats, with its service coverage expanded from Sham Shui Po to Yau Tsim Mong, Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan, Kwai Tsing and Wong Tai Sin Districts.

Home Renovation Services for the Community

Leveraging its professional expertise, China Overseas and its listed subsidiaries under the group have launched the "Repair for Ten Thousand Homes" initiative to help address Hong Kong’s "housing issues" 免费电影. As one of the nine activities under the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association’s "Mainland Enterprises Care – Walking Together" campaign, this initiative has effectively enhanced the sense of happiness among Hong Kong’s grassroots residents and won high recognition from all sectors of society.

The services primarily target elderly people living alone and grassroots families in Sham Shui Po, Kwun Tong, Islands District, Yuen Long, Sha Tin, North District, Tuen Mun, Tsuen Wan and other areas 麻豆影视网站. A range of caring repair services are provided, including the installation of anti-slip grab bars, water pipe inspections, sewer cleaning, door lock repairs, ceiling patching, and replacement of light bulbs and electrical wires. By 2024, "Repair for Ten Thousand Homes" had served over 10,000 grassroots households in Hong Kong.
